Mr. Rene Awambeng believes in hard work, supporting others, and serving his community. His lifestyle and love for humanity makes him a beacon of hope for many. The person he is today was shaped by the love from his family and the strive to become a better version of himself each day.
Being the eldest in the family, Mr. Rene Awambeng has been a father figure to his younger siblings, extended family members, and many younger people he has encountered through his career paths.
His personal experience with end-stage renal failure, fueled by his empathy and humble beginnings led him to the foundation of ARC. He aims to spread awareness about renal disease and construct a health center with facilities to help those suffering from renal disease.
Managing the “Cameroon post” part-time as a student at the University of Yaoundé in Cameroon under his uncle (Paddy Mbawa) as a mentor paved the way for Mr. Awambeng as a leader. Mr. Awambeng pursued a career in Banking and finance holding several managerial positions in Cameroon, DRC, Rwanda, and London. He has been honored several times as the Banker of the Year in London and joined the African Export-Import Bank as a Director of Client Relations in the year 2016.
